History of B&B Body Shop

B&B Body Shop was established in 1977 in a four car garage on Zion road next to the Checkerboard Restaurant in Henderson,KY. B&B was started by Buck and Bobbie Yates who had both worked at Don Mahurin Chevrolet in the body shop. Buck and Bobbie grew up working on cars mechanically with their father Arnold, who was an avid drag racer. B&B moved to their current location in June of 1978 and continues to operate to this day. B&B has grown from just two people on the payroll, Buck and Bobbie, to having 9 employees. B&B Body Shop has gone through three additions to its business. The first was moving from a four car garage with a desk sitting inside the door, to five bays, one for washing and painting and four for body work at the new location. The second addition was to eleven bays in 1985 with two paint rooms, two clean-up bays, and seven for body work. The final one in 1994 was to twenty-three bays with two paint rooms, one downdraft paint booth, two prep bays, two clean-up bays and sixteen for body work, along with adding a state of the art frame machine. In 2005, we were saddened at the loss of our founder and owner Buck Yates. B&B Body Shop continues to be family-owned and operated. Buck's wife Patty along with son Paul, manager Brian Burden and all the staff at B&B Body Shop are committed to serving Henderson and the surrounding areas for the distant future.
